skZemax Examples

skZemax Examples#

Here are a number of basic examples of how to use skZemax. These are default ZOS-API examples adapted to use the skZemax package instead.

It is recommended to see Example 01 first, as this example goes into the most detail about the basic implementation of skZemax.

Contents:

  • Example 01: Set-up and Quick-Focus (Sequential)
    • Concise example code
    • Detailed example code
  • Example 02: Load a file, Perform a Non-sequential Ray Trace, Study Results.
    • Load the System and Run the Ray Trace
    • Gather the detector information
    • Make a Visualization of the System
    • Close down Zemax
    • Display the System and Study the Detector Images
  • Example 03: Sequential Optimization.
    • Load the System and Save a copy
    • Get the initial state
    • Select what variables will be adjusted in the optimization.
    • Setting up the merit functions
    • Running the solves
    • Save the optimized design.
    • Comparing the system pre and post optimization
  • Example 07: Tilt and Decenter.
